Svaroopa® yoga's chair yoga poses set the foundation for this class. Using support and precise alignments in the poses, students release tension in the deepest layers of their body - the muscles wrapped around their spine. Longer pose holds allow the angles of the pose to decompress the spine, creating space and length in the body. That creates a corresponding spaciousness and quiet in the mind. Svaroopa® yoga means "Bliss yoga", and it's a slower yoga that is customized to your body's needs. Got pain? A busy mind? A stiff body? This is the yoga for you. This class is appropriate for students at all levels of experience. THERAPY DESCRIPTIONS - EMBODYMENT® - A highly effective, hands-on healing modality that creates a release of core tensions in your body. Your embodyment® session reaches into areas of your spine that you can’t quite access with poses and creates a release of tension that is equivalent to 5-6 yoga classes. You spend most of the session in Shavasana, while your therapist places their fingers on your sacrum and your sitbone. You may want to consider an Embodyment® session to help with aches and pains, to address an injury, to get additional support through a tough time, or to provide a deeper yoga experience. VICHARA - A form of guided self-inquiry. Vichara is talking, rather than hands on, so sessions can take place over the phone or in person. It is yoga therapy for your mind, and it is powerful and highly effective in its simplicity. You may consider a Vichara session to gain clarity or insight into a situation or relationship that is bothersome, to overcome ineffective patterns of thought or behavior, to get more mastery over your mind, or to provide a deeper experience. YOGA THERAPY - A therapeutic application of yoga, the client is supported, aligned and adjusted in yoga poses to achieve maximum effective change. Longer time in the poses and in between the poses create a deeply restful atmosphere that optimizes your natural healing abilities. Your yoga therapy session creates a release of tension in your spine that is equivalent to 6-7 yoga classes. You may want to consider a yoga therapy session if you have chronic pain, if you’ve accepted the fact that pain is a part of aging (it’s not!), if you feel like you have tried it all to no avail, if you have an injury, or to provide a deeper yoga experience.

Yoga Studio Attendance and Class Etiquette Policy At Tula Yoga & Reiki Professionals, our goal is to create a serene, focused, and distraction-free environment where students can fully immerse themselves in their yoga practice. To ensure the best possible experience for all participants, we have established the following policy: Arrival Time Early Arrival Encouraged: Students are required to arrive at least 5 minutes before the scheduled start time of class. This allows adequate time to check in, set up your mat, and settle into the studio environment. Doors Close at Start Time: To maintain a respectful and distraction-free environment, entry to the studio will not be permitted after the class has begun. Online Class Log-In: For online classes, students must log in at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time to ensure proper setup and address any technical issues. Refunds and Rescheduling No Refunds for Late Arrivals: Refunds or class credits will not be issued for missed classes due to late arrival. Please plan your travel and preparation time accordingly to ensure timely attendance. Flexible Booking Options: We encourage students to make use of our online scheduling system, which allows for easy rescheduling of classes within the cancellation policy timeframe. Tips for a Smooth Experience Prepare Ahead: Lay out your yoga gear and attire the night before, and plan your route to the studio to account for possible delays. Check-In Efficiency: Use the studio’s online check-in options to streamline your arrival process. Respectful Practice: Arriving early helps you transition from the outside world to the calm of the studio, enhancing your practice and contributing to the collective focus of the group. Online Setup: For virtual classes, test your equipment and internet connection prior to the 15-minute log-in window to avoid last-minute disruptions.
